Water's Edge

Water’s Edge is a surreal, metaphorical carving inspired by the dreamlike qualities of Salvador Dalí’s work. An orca’s head rises from rough, churning waves at the center of the piece. Two sides of the carving form steep, black cliffs, while the other two dissolve into ocean, spilling over the edges and cascading away. Faults and cracks emerge along the sides of the base, blurring the boundary between solid land and flowing water. The piece plays with contrast and illusion, inviting the viewer to question perspective, stability, and the line between reality and imagination.
