Pumpkin Crows is rooted in the darker spirit of Halloween, when the season turns and the familiar takes on a more unsettling edge. Crows burst outward from the pumpkin as if escaping, their movement sudden and alive against the stillness of autumn. The piece plays with contrast—harvest imagery paired with disruption and shadow. Carved from yellow cedar and finished with acrylic paints, Pumpkin Crows captures the tension, mystery, and quiet unease that linger in the air around Halloween.
